Question Head Gasket(s) Or Cracked Head????

Ok, just found out from my dad that 2 months prior to getting the transfer case in that the engine was locked up from coolant. I got the t/c in a couple weeks ago and it was smoking (white) for 8 blocks before it cleared. I haven't dropped the drain plug to check for coolant contamination. TIA! If it is cracked head(s), could a guy still get a complete remand 6.2L? I got sick when he said 454 or 350.

Yes you could get reman heads for it. If it is in deed the heads are cracked or bad. But I would be looking at the headgaskets first.

if the gaskets are bad and the heads arent leaking water, just put the cracked heads back bon with new gaskets......i know, i know, trust me, its not the first time ive done it, just did a set about 3 weeks ago......

Fired it up a few days ago, then again yesterday. Both time had a bad miss, with white smoke that smelled like fuel, coming out the pass. side exhaust.

Finally got the cylinder heads off and found this on the drivers side head, #1 cyl. I hope it isn't a crack.

Almost got it back together. Got a bunch of lines and brackets to figure out.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Aside from it popping from the intake, no headlights, it runs smooth and no antifreeze blowing out the radiator.
