i have the chance to buy a 1990 3/4 ton blazer all i was told about it was its a diesel the owner died a couple months ago and his kids are just looking to unload it would it be a good parts car for my 1996 k1500 there only wanting scrap price for it

no tranny and engine are different i wouldnt the 1990 is a 6.2 with probally a 700r4 tranny

how good of motor is the 6.2 i was thinking about buy it to make a trail crawler out of it also would the 6.2 hold to to a lot of abuse cause i know the ones they have in the military trucks we have are junk

6.2 and 6.5 are identicle except for cylinder bore,all parts interchange except for pistons.

Some very old like 82 6.2's had 2 piece rear main seal crankshafts though so the crank and oil pan are different.
