Default Speedometer

I have a 1994 Chevy k2500 6.5lTD with the NV4500 trans. The speedometer does not work. What could be making it not work?

Sounds like a speed sensor to me, I could be completely wrong thougg but I had that issue in my 96 k1500 gas burner and it was the speed sensor

A 96 would be OBDII making the speedometer electronic. A 1994 on the other hand though, should have an actual speedometer cable.

If it is a 4*4 there are 2 speed sensors and both need to work.
