i think i may have come up with the problem there are a whole bunch of spliced wires under the dash going too im thinking fire equipment lights and stuff that isnt there the whole thing like a rats nest under there going too swallow my pride and take it too a mechanic that i know very whell he said bring it out and he WILL make it run and find the shorts and straighten out the mess for a reasonable price i will get some pics of the rig and post what the problem is when he gets done for future refernce by other members thanks for all the help

got my old dually fired up this morning with all intentions of loading the suburban on the trailer hoped in there turned the key on too put the trans in neutral all the lights came on hit the key and shes running ok park the trailer ran it over too my buds garage the only variable that i can come up with is the ambient temp outside it was 16 degrees here this morning

My starter did the exact same thing. It wouldn't engage, I took it off and hooked it up to my jumper pack and it worked perfectly fine, put it back on the pickup and it started.

Sometimes when these trucks have oil leaks as they sometimes do oil works it's way between the starter and the block and will lead to a poor conection so it would'nt hurt to clean between the block and starter

truck has been at the shop still he said went out everything works starts right up cant find anything wrong with it probally wont act up till im 3 hours from home i had put a ground too the starter already as i usually do that too all my trucks

was a bad fuzeable link up under the hood going too the relay hooked to the firewall and the oil pressure sending unit wasent the right one not letting the lift pump run from the ignition switch its all straightend out now and runs real strong my wife cleaned it all out inside today and got it all polished up for me gotta get some tires on it shocks are bouncy soo them too
