Default 95 6.5 td suburban

got this truck a few weeks back starts perfect during cold 10 to 15 degrees no problem went too town came back then the next morning went out too start truck and it wouldnt no glow plug light in the dash previos owner changed the controller already soo i went with the newest manual i have being a 92 version and checked the glow plugs out most were reading a very low voltage soo i pulled em out put new ones in along with a new controler no change have checked all the circuits too and from the controller and everything checks out including the temp sensors engine has oil pressure while cranking no service engine lights on the truck came from new york fire department and appears too have been well maintained over its life has 162.000 miles on it and up too the other day everything worked perfect one thing i did doo is before changing the controller and plugs i jumped the terminals and the light came on truck started then died soo must not be getting a signal too the I/P if someone has a digram for a 95 or other helpfull input is greatly appreciated

Check relays behind glove box they are grey with little white tabs.They don't always reset you can push them down both at same time and see if that works.Mine kept popping cause of glow plug wires laying on steering column and turbo boost sensor not plugged in good.

jumpered the diagnostic port and service engine light dosent come on either

Check the fuse box, I know on my 96 there is a glow plug fuse, all its only a 10 amp one so all it does is turn the controller on and off, be a good place to start.

is there a way i can power the i/p independant of the ecm

If the truck is OBDI you can run 12 volts to the G terminal on the ALDL port under the dash if the truck is OBD II run 12 volts directly to the LP

thanks for the help i cant take much more of this going over and over checkin stuff driving me too drink almost getting pretty frustrated i need this truck too be right and not leave me somewhere stranded its going too be hopefully anyways my daily driver/tow rig
