air leak if fuel line. sending unit to ip must be checked. u can try and change any spring clamps to a better quality one. top of the sending units are a bad spot for line rot. sending units are 70$ avg, u can then eliminate pluged sock or air leak at top.
this is what fixed my 95 from defueling. good luck

Is your truck OBD I or OBD II if it is OBD I the easiest way to test the LP is to run a wire from the positive terminal on a battery to the G terminal in the port under the dash, then open the T vavle if you have fuel you can rule out the LP

napa, norwood ontario is where i got mine. i think they looked up wrong sending unit for you. most expensive 1 i can find for a 95 6.5l is 50$ on the web. i think mine was a Dorman

also my diesel mechanic thought my old one looked fine(no rotted lines)(sock was not plugged) yet it solved my problem 100%. hope you got an ac delco ops as its the only one that can run the lp

Try running with the fuel cap loose- a plugged vent can cause excess tank vacuum.
