I have a 1995 k1500 silverado with a 6.5l turbo diesel. When i start it cold, it will run for about 30 seconds and stall. Then it is hard to restart. It even has the same problem 30 minutes after driving it. If i hold the gas at about 1200 rpm for about 30 seconds after starting it will act like its getting air bubbles and then be fine. I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but under fairly hard acceleration it kind of surges and you can feel it and barely see it on the tach. Also, after the truck has been off for a day and i remove the fuel filter cap, the fuel in the housing is low. I dont know if it is supposed to overflow when you open it or not. If i open it right after it has been running, it will overflow. Any ideas?
