Cruise control dead

New guy here. Great site! I have '97 C3500 6.5 in great shape with only 80K miles that I just bought. The only things not functioning are the hazard switch and cruise control switch ( the cruise indicator light does not come on in the dash). Would you lean towers the multifunction switch? How do you diagnose?

Sometimes a symptom of a bad PMD is loss of cruise as well.

Scan the truck for cides. Any codes, and the cruise will not work. Even stored codes. So the CEL light may not be on but if a code is stored it will not work.
