i have a 95 chevy 3500 6.5 4x4 turbo diesel 5 speed, recently i have had bad stalling problems so i reset the codes today and drove it and now these are the codes it's showing

DTC 21 - Accelerator Pedal Position 1 Circuit High
DTC 26 - Accelerator Pedal Position 2 Circuit Low
DTC 45 - EGR Vent Error
DTC 46 - Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Circuit Fault
DTC 53 - System Voltage High
DTC 63 - Accelerator Pedal Position 3 Circuit High
DTC 71 - Set/Coast Switch Fault (Cruise Control)
DTC 81 - Transmission 2-3 Shift Solenoid Circuit
DTC 83 - Torque Converter Clutch


Clean the 3 ground wires at the rear of the intake passenger side on the stud and make sure they have good contact and terminals.

Replace the check engine bulb and then report back after a road test with cleared codes to see what returns again.

 

Clean the batt terminals too.

 

okay, i'll clean and check everything tomorrow. doesn't some of them codes only relate to a auto tranny? cause my truck is a 5 speed. is it possible that somebody may have replaced the ecm with a ecm that was for a auto truck?

 

81,83 are auto trans codes,could be as you describe.
