Aces,

I only shot ether in it the first start when I pulled it out of the barn and then after I put new batterries in after it started getting cold here. I hope you are wrong about the compression. Would hate to think I sunk my donut here.

6.5 Girl,

It would be nice to have a plan for sure. If A doesn't work go to B then to C. I am looking at back testing my APPM this weekend. The PDM is $300 plus a relocation kit at $100. I am hoping not to go there yet. Looks like some good info from Aces that I will go through first. I found out that there is no ODM I in my price range so hearing from Aces there is a software may be the ticket for sure. Keep me update to what you try so I can follow along if I don't solve my issues.

Racer,

Cracked the line and no fuel. PMD w/kit $400. Hate to replace that and then find it is the IP. What about the APPM? Can that stop fuel flow? FSO?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Racer,

Fuses all look good. Where is Fuel Solenoid? Is it on the air intake manifold?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Aces,

Too many sites found that offer GMTDscan don't want a virus. Do you have a repitable site you can recommend and where can I get the cable in the U.S?

Ace,

Will this diagnose the PMD?

6.5girl,

Just ran onto this site; www.AccurateDiesel.com - PMD Installation Instructions - Accurate Technical Services, LLC

I have not yet used the info so not sure how good it is but it puts you and I on the right track to getting our beasts back on the open road.

Nothing will diagnose a PMd but trying another one. But GMTDscan can do alot. It can read and clear codes, It can set timing. It can kill cylinders one at a time to look for a miss. it give you readings off all the sensors both engine and trans. It ONLY works on 94-95 6.5TDs

Accurate is a good guy. I deal with Tim all the time. yes the info is "accurate"...

Default No more Acronyms! My Truck is back on he Road!!!!

I want to thank everyone here for helping me get my truck back on the Road for sure!

Today through many searches and forums I found this link which is the first step by step "No start" I have seen for the 6.5 Diesel and it worked and I didn't have to buy a PMD or IP!!

It ended up being my Optic Sensor, go figure......

Here is the link www.AccurateDiesel.com - PMD Installation Instructions - Accurate Technical Services, LLC for those of you that will ultimately find this post and have a similar problem with your 6.5 and need to know where to start in Acronym Hell to get your beast bellowing gray smoke yet again!
