Default 1995 chevy vin p 6.5l no dash lights or glow plug light

Hi I am new here and I have a 95 chevy 6.5l vin p. It ran fine till all of a sudden one morning i went to start it. it started ran for about 10 seconds and shut off. now I have no glow plug or any other dash lights. The truck cranks over fine but no glow plug light. If i leave the key switch on for a while I hear a click and the lights come on on the dash then click, lights go out. I have replaced the glow plug relay and still nothing. The glow plugs are not old either as i changed them a year ago as well. im kinda stumped on this one anyone else out there ever have this happen? also when it was running I would be going down the road and it would seem to stumble now and then. Thanks for the help and comments trying to help me figure this out

If the radio and blower motor still work with the key on but dash lights off,Ignition switch is first suspect.

yes the radio and blower motor still works fine. Its just the diagnostic lights on the dash like the glow plug light/ water in fuel/ ses light/ check throttle light dont kick on when i turn the key on. I will be replacing the switch then as the truck has 198,000 miles on and im sure its the original one. Is this a difficult job to do?

Haven't yet changed 1,needed 1 for my 96 but price was too high in Canada, made my own with a toggle switch, bump button and constant run solenoid.
