Default 1996 chevrolet 6.5 turbo No start No smoke.

We have a no start here. I Stopped at a hardware store came out and my truck wouldn't start & no smoke. The batteries were good but just a little weak and so I jumped truck spun over like a top still no start. The truck started first crank after glow plug light went out for over a year before this. Computer light is on when you turn key on. Changed two PMD's that were used but tested, at the T `in 15 Secs almost a quart of fuel, frame pump is running, at the injection pump disconnected power to the shutoff solenoid no start, removed the fuel line to injection right at the pump full pipe of fuel, removed return line and filled 1/3 cup of fuel in 10 Secs, charged both batteries, Anything else I should check before putting on a new injection pump. Air filter was cleaned and is removed to see if would start and it didn't. Started so good before this I feel I’m missing something and still is an electrical problem? I can change an injector pump myself but really don't feel like doing it unless I can confirm it's bad.

Mayheim going to use your recommendation and change PMD to a new one. I have about 4 used ones that I tried and I noticed only one them has the resisister inside the plug socket on the PMD do the other three have the resistor inside the PMD and if it's missing is that why they failed so quickly? My guess is that is how you upgrade to the #9 resisitor and just put it in the plug socket and the other three are internal. I attempted to remove the resistor from the one that failed and it was about impossible. I argee that it is electronic problem as it started so good for so long and just quit. I probably need a new PMD anyway or this will continue for a while.
Thanks Stan

Where is you're PMD currently located ? if it's any where in the engine compartment is a bad place IMO now as far as using a known good PMD I puchased 2 last year with a 7 warranty on them did'nt recieve them until 8 days after purchasing they where no good and I was stuck with them I have all so heard of a PMD working then 15 minutes later not working take that as you will but I personally will not have nothing to do with a used PMD again.

Sounds like a PMD. Best way to test it is with another one If you can get your hands on a known good one
