Default 95 GMC Surges and flutters when ideling runs great down road

I have a 1995 GMC 6.5 TD New PMD with heat sync Flutters and surges when ideling !!! Do you have to run any relearn processes on this ? PLZ help

Do you mean you have installed a new pmd?? and the truck is still acting the same??there is no relearn process to your truck if it is acting the same you have a different problem going on with the truck what codes do you have???

Check for fuel line leaks, could be clogged fuel filter or sender.

PMD is a possibility like mayhem said.

Could be a bad injector too make sure all of them Are getting fuel

check make sure fuel pump is running. if not run a jumper from bat to pump on frame rail under driverside door.if this works its most likely your oil pressure switch.just replaced mine yesterday.had same symtoms. good luck

Here is an easier way to the the LP on OBD-I trucks run 12V to the G teminal on the ALDL port under the dash

Just bought a truck with the same issue, a 96 Tahoe. If I find out what it is before you do, I'll let you know.

I checked fuel pump once , but i will check it again ! Thanks everyone for your help diesel pickups are foriegn to me ! Love this truck have to figure it out ! I will keep you posted
