that is way steep -- hell, look on ebay or a junk yard to find one for LOTS cheaper...

i'd prolly go for the nissan if I were good at swapping engines and all, but since I'm not, I'd prolly get teh ford, unless the mileage is quite a big differnet.. .then woudl try the nissan

Is the ford engine the inline 300? If it is, a 3.9 cummins is almost a complete drop in as long as you get one with the ford manual adapter plate. You can usually get a 3.9 for around $1700.
