Well I think I'm selling mine as well. I'm going to rebuild the trans and get rid of it. I really want an OBS PSD, dont really know why I just always wanted one. Had two Cummins trucks, a 6.5, 6.9, 7.3, now I just want a little old PSD. Might be becuase I think they are the sharpest PSD truck out there.

The 6.5 Chevy was not a horrible motor just did not have the power and torque the Cummins an Powerstroke had. But it was a good alternative to the small block gas engine and it also got good fuel economy. I am not saying it compares to the Powerstroke or Cummins.

well i'll be the first one here to admit that if there wasn't a cummins under my hood i wouldn't be driving a dodge. i don't think that they're as well built overall as ford or gm. i have also looked around and noticed that i don't any SD's or GM's rusted out like i see the 2nd gen dodges rusting out around here. i've had nothing but problems with every dodge i've ever owned. my '98 quad cab with the 5.2 was the worst. so far this truck has been good to me so i'm hoping it keeps going.
i used to be a die hard ford guy but i don't buy them anymore because they're so bad to work on compared to gm's and my truck. this is solely based on my personal experience and opinion. i've had a grand prix in one stall and a taurus in the other and it's like night and day under that hood. i really feel as though ford doesn't care about the serviceability of their vehicles. that's the mechanic in me and it's hard not to look at that issue when buying. i don't think the duramax is a ton easy to work on but i feel there is some more room under the hood than an SD's. v-8 turbodiesels suck to work on period. and that mess on top of the new 6.4 is ridiculous. i've said it before and i always will. give me a SD body, frame, axles and trans. put a cummins under the hood and have gm do the interior and i'll buy it.

"give: that all being said i don't think this sight is going anti-ford. i just think ur out numbered right now clay. atleast 90% of the membership right now owns a cummins. i think ur 1 out of maybe 2 ford guys. and there's only like 1 or 2 gm owners. i'd love to have more PSD and D'MAX guys on here proving my opinions wrong. i think we can all learn alot from each other's experiences. "give:

plus i did hear ford's are easy to steal fuel out of.

Here in Oklahoma i don' think theres more than 1,000 bucks difference in comperably equipted trucks...Doge Ford or Chevy.

I am not knocking ford as I believe that the ford, dodge and gm all have their issues and advantages.
Exactly my point, Chevy corrected there injector issue (which i really don't follow there progress much) and Ford corrected there VG turbo issue within 6 month of figuring out they were failing...Dodge, I have no idea what there current issues might be on the new models but I would assume they still have some electronics issues as well as suspension. They do all had design flaws and as long as they work really hard to correct known issues then in my book they are a worthy contender in the truck market.

Thank you.

Theres no doubt the OBS fords, say a CC long bed 4x4 lifted about 6 inches with 36s, look awsome.

Yeah, i am outnumbered but why is anyone counting. I don't hassle anyone here about driving a Dodge but I certainly hear alot of people put down Ford and chances are they never even owned one to know if they are a POS or not. I love the cummins motor, i just don't care for some other aspects of the Dodge and theres almost nothin I like about the Chevys - although I never drove a duramax but i drove chevies alot in the 80s and 90s and I loved them but I couldn't keep a tranny in any of them so i got kinda turned off at that point.

Oh, i did determine i lost 13 gallons of fuel the other night so i no doubt had a thief sucking fuel.
Last night i chained my Rott to the trailer hitch with a 25' chain so i knew he was on guard. "y"

There is a big difference in price in new Fords around here. They think they are really special. Looked at a King Ranch on the lot for 59K Similar equiped dodge was 49K. that is a big chunk of change period though.

yea i agree with ya i would like to see a good mix of dmax , psd and cummins here. i am a diesel truck fan i like all brands and i try to educate myself on all of em...and i will be honest the only reason i own a cummins is cause that is what i was able to afford. when i was looking into buying my first diesel price and comfort were the selling points....
