How Many Golfer's Do We Have?
#31
I've been told that many times but I like the control and lift height that the V1's give me. One of the instructors told me that he thinks I could get another 10-15 yards if I used Top Flit XL 5000's. I might give them a try.

My dad used to be an avid golfer, I never got into it much myself though. One outing with his association (family went once a year to a resort and whatnot) when I was 10, I was on a putting green next to the driving range and a ball flew over the fence and knocked me in my noggin. Dad's friend who cleaned my head said it was a Titleist.

i have been known on a couple of occations to grace the greens with my presence....
i prefer the blue putters and either green or blue *****. where i play if you get a hole in one on the number 9 hole you get to play the back 9 for free and get 25 cents off of nacho's at the snack bar.....
on a more serious note i did go once with my brother who is perty good and it took him 1 under par (i think par was 3 or 4) on the first hole and it took me 8 shots to get out of the tee off spot.... it wasn't too much longer before i tapped into the Crown.....

I have been to the driving range a few times...needless to say the kids on the varsity golf team could drive the ball with a 5 iron farther and straighter than i could with a 540cc driver.
i should just stick to playing basketball and football

The Pro V line is a great ball---stolen technology from Callaway--but a great ball nonetheless...the lawsuits from Callaway may just see the Pro V line come to an end by Dec 31, 2008....but anyways...
The problem with the Pro V is that it doesn't work unless you can get swing speeds over 100mph out of a driver and high 80's to low 90's out of your middle irons on a consistent basis....otherwise you're just hitting a $4 golf ball around for no really good reason.
I switched from Titleist to Bridgestone (Precept) when the Pro V1 came out---I loved the Titleist Professional 100's and was pissed that they dropped them for a ball that didn't work as well...JMHO. Played the EV's for a few years until Callaway built the perfect golf ball, the HX series.
Anyways, the HX (say "hex") ***** are awesome.....for your swing speed, if you're a decent striker who can use spin to "drop and stop" approach shots, hit most of your drives straight, and want distance plus the spin control, check out the HX Hot or HX Hot Bite.
Another good option is the Bridgestone/Precept E6+
Plus they're both about $20 less per dozen than the Pro V's......
The Top Flite XL 5000's are actually a pretty good ball, too. I think you'd like the Callaways or Bridgestones more, though.

Gonna disagree with you on that one. You know what my driver swing speed is and I consistently hit 285-295 yards on my drives with my Callaway FT-i 460cc 10* head with a 57* lie and Titleist Pro V1's. Tiger averages 302 yards with a 125mph club speed and the very best clubs and *****. I do however think I'm going to try the Top Flite XL 5000's and see if I can get anymore distance. I know they have a lower flight but on most of the courses I play thats not an issue.
