Hey...at least its original.
Its so unorginal to go out and buy flowers and/or candy. Hallmark holidays are stupid - its much better when you suprise that someone special with a weekend getaway, trip, or special gift for no reason (or maybe a Cometic headgasket and some coolant....)

I used to give coupons . they were cheap and you really could put whatever you wanted on them... Mine where on the dirty side, but you can use your imagination ..anything goes with a coupon... make a nice romantic supper together and get a good bottle of wine or two.... and victorias secret swimsuit cataloge is out too..... I would put up the link but I think the boys got the mag, under there bed.

I gotta say that I'm glad to see this thread here... and with some thoughtful ladies giving some sage advice.
I hadn't given a whole lot of thought to the 14th until yesterday, and had already axed most of my ideas. My wife is SO AMAZING. She never stops working. Late to bed, and gets up early. She home-schools our kids and takes care of the business of the "home". I'm always saying that I want to do something REALLY REALLY amazing for her. This seems like the right time to make that happen since all of you have already been so willing to help others. I'll share what I've come up with in hopes it'll help someone else, or maybe someone will comment on mine with better ideas.
She loves to scrapbook, so I'm thinking that I could sneak some of her tools and hand-make a card (I think this would really show that I am interested in her hobbies as well as mine). Then maybe a cook a dinner and serve it in the dining room (where we never eat) on the china. Make her a bubble bath and leave her alone (she hardly ever takes time alone to herself). Maybe even serve her breakfast in bed the next morning?
