Default Cummins Light Duty Diesel

Take a look at this: http://list.priceweber.com/cummins/t...esel_13pw.html . There is a light duty Cummins in the works for DC.

i dono..... there are too many 3rd gen 1500's runnin around here with a 12 valve under the hood ..... the V-6 trucks are now coming cheaper and cheaper and you can find a beat up ole 2nd gen farm truck that the motor is good in for cheap and have a nice setup..... that's what these guys do around here...... i might do that if i can find me a good deal on one that has a blowed up gasburner in it...... but ya a light duty diesel would be nice.... i wander what the MPG will be on those.....

Found a couple articles related to this. It looks like Cummins is working on a 4.2L V6 250HP 420 ft-lb (22.1 mpg) and a 5.6L V8 350hp 560 ft-lb (21.7 mpg).

IMO a cummins aint a cummins if its a v configuration.

As far as dodges w/blown gas burners, there was a '97 xcab 4x4 less than 100k miles nearby that i coulda had for maybe $2k. Sure am regrettin not buying it now, coulda put me a 12valve in there and had a nice low mileage cummins for less than $5k
