I was saying at least. If a stock 5.3 ls chevy can hold 900+ on a stock bottom end then i'm sure a 302 can hold 550.

I'd be rebuilding the 7mgte with race bearings, forged rods, and forged 9:1 compression pistons. (plus all the other accompanying mods: Valves, Springs, Cams, ETC) From what I've read, people can push the upper realm of 500 HP, but to keep from blowing things up, 530hp is about the max. The rods and pistons are 12 hundred bucks. All the other accompanying things are like another grand or so. Turbo kit is a grand. I can push 550hp it a car with less that 5 grand total invested...
