I like Garmin. I've yet to be disappointed with any of their products that I've bought and/or used.

I guess it will depend on what you need it for? Fishing, hunting, day to day direction. If you'll be using it for day to day driving navigation then be sure to get one that you can download road maps on.

If you'll be using it for wheeling, hunting, etc then be sure to get one that has topo maps on it.

I use a Garmin 60cs. It is a handheld and I load the street software on it. It works very well, I've used it to plot routes of 50-60 stops a day and it is awesome. I've also used it on the 4 wheeler out on the trail and on my street bike. I've never been let down with it and it is also waterproof. This model is down in price right now since it has been out for awhile, but it is loaded with features and is also color.
