well. most have you read my thread I posted a while back. now not all girls can be put into the same category but there are very few that can rationalize. seriously. I'm not being sexist or anything but if I was a betting man I would bet 80% of all women are unrational in their thinking. We have our faults but they are the same all of the time and we will mostly admit to them.
now.
I have to agree with baby doll. she is mad at something else. Don't try and prove her wrong. ever! because that is the next step to a ridiculous argument of "you always have to be right". I have had many of those.
instead. just drop it. because 3 irrational women against 1 man will make the man stupid in seconds by just listening. I cant really tell you what to do, if I could I would be happily married with no problems.

one quote has always stayed in my mind and my dad says it all of the time.
it came from the movie as good as it gets with Jack Nicholson and Helen hunt.
Jack is a romantic novel writer named Melvin.

Secretary: How do you write women so well?

Melvin Udall: I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.

that pretty much sums it up

Finally a woman speaks....

It wasn't like we had some huge blow out or anything. She just made the comment and I just can't figure how her going to Wal-Mart for a couple hours with her ma is any different than me making helping a buddy get a truck he needs. I guess the deciding factor in that is that this was for a truck. Maybe I'll take her dad to Cabela's for Christmas and see how that goes over.

The only reason her ma only knew about it because she was with her and the SIL (Married to my wife's brother) is nucking futs so I don't even pay attention to her anyway.

I just figured she'd be used to me by know. When it comes to great deals on trucks the rest of the world comes to an immediate halt. I'm 31 years old and I think I'm on my 20th vehicle. All but 3 were bought for under $5000. Most were under $2000.

Oh yeah.. This thread has the only pics so far. The "new" one my friend got is on the right. That's mine on the left which was another $500 conquest.
My Mother once asked me, "Honey, do you want to be 'right' or do you want to be married?"
Men change the rules constantly to backup the decision they made at the moment. Us women have a set of rules and guidelines that we follow and dont deviate from them for any reason whatsoever. There in lies the problem. Hard to keep watching Martha Stewart show when "they" suddenly decide its football. Read the book, "Men are from Mars, women are from Venus".
Ive read that book too. ... Remember guys from a Venus's point of view.
were different. we come from two seperate planets, were together because of , and thats it........... live in harmony or go back to your planet....

oh and dont sweat the small stuff, cause when you pick apart your partner so much, theres not a real reason to be there..........If your not in love then move on, and if you are you will know to stay............

oh yea Johnny , that was over a week ago , let it go...... theres always Christmas,,build your self a shop then you can stay out there more...

One more thing Johnny build that shop big enough to accommodate A few of your other friends, so when we do something as crazy as you did we all have a place to go. I must admit, let me spend a week with her you'll look like a saint.

Can any of you Bomber girls explain this to me? Where did I go wrong? Is there in fact a difference in man vs. woman bargains?
Hi Johnny,
Yes, there is a general unwritten "rule" about holidays, its not really a rule, its just what people automatically think a holiday is supposed to include: the family simply being around the house where the meal will take place, not so into some activity that you can't be talked to or aren't generally aware of what's happening, so this includes not leaving the house or esp. leaving town! So what you did "wrong" probably is just that you weren't there.
It also depends if you were gone for two hours in the morning or if you were gone for two hours when the turkey was done and everyone gathered around to feast or during festivity time. Plus you were already gone when you got the call, and you called home, so maybe you were just gone too long at a special time.
About the bargains. The only difference I can see is hers is related to a holiday and probably with people who are a part of the holiday plans, while yours isn't related to the holiday season in particular, esp. if the person you were helping wasn't a part of the holiday plans.
If she was gone just as long as you, then every thing I said above about the unwritten rule might not apply to your situation, and its probably just that she equates holiday bargains with holiday coziness, and trucks don't make her feel cozy. (if this is the case, fuzzy seat covers may be a good investment - ! )

First, I have to rant for a little bit... It REALLY pisses me off when guys make comments about women in general as if all women are crazy (uh... Jason?) or nagging or b**chy or whatever ALL the time. I'm not saying that I NEVER do that, but I do try to pick my battles. Also, ALL women do not change the rules ALL the time. I don't! Mine are simple... be honest ALL the time, don't break my trust (I will KILL you!), give me a heads up on your plans (If I must call 911 I would like to know where to send them), and check to make sure we actually have the money before buying the latest "project".

Well, now that the b**ch-fest is out of the way...

My thought is there is something else going on behind the scenes. It sounds to me like she's mad about something else and looking to blame anything on you... Not the best approach, but whatever. You shouldn't even pay attention to their opinions, but that's just me!

Anyways, that's just my opinion...

OOPS, forgot to ask... When do we get to see pics of the truck?

OHHH SNAP!!!
