Cable Shroud

Cable Shroud
Ok, so I'm trying to search the internet for braided cable or wire shroud for automotive applications. This would be to the best I can describe as the stuff that EDGE uses on their harnesses.
I want something bendable of this sort that I can run a bunch of wires through and then shrink it so that nothing can happen to them. Currently, my electrical gremlins are getting the better of me and it is getting frustrating.
Their is a bad ground somewhere on my 2002 Dodge and there is a trickle charge somewhere that is draining my batteries which is really annoying. So, I am going to remove EVERYTHING I have installed over the years and lots of the stock harnesses as well and look for this bad ground. Then I am going to repair it all! To date all my stuff is all 14 and 16 ga. wire with butt connectors that have been heat shrunk. All of these runs are then covered in lume or shroud and those are "zap strapped" to the frame or whatever with plastic zap straps.
Anyway, if someone has a product number or a supply name or something I can trace up here in Canada that would be a great help.
Thanks again.

Then click on wire connectors.
Another one with all kinds of heat shrink tubing up to 100 ft rolls. http://order.waytekwire.com/CGI-BIN/...B53051+M37+ENG

Just use heat shrink tubing and wire loom....and lose the butt connectors and any scotch locks if you have them. Solder all connections and heat shrink (make sure you use proper electronic solder)..
BTW, Wyatt the proper term for "Zap Ties" is "Tye Wraps"

Bubba,
Yes sir that's the stuff I'm looking for.
Dr. E, the butt connectors I use are fibreglass and work very well in MARINE environments. I also heat shrink everything and then loom it with that split plastic crap that I have everywhere.
Problem is I need something that will not fuss when it is jambed into a spot, hence this braided wrap. I will be doing this soon I hope.

Wyatt, I have yet to see fiberglass butt connectors Im not saying the arent good but they will tend to produce a high resistance junction. Your butt connectors may be the source of some of the elecrical gremlins that you were talking about. In most cases, solder is better for splicing wires.
So you are looking for the spiral wrap? or the braided stuff?
If you are looking for the spiral stuff, just about any electrical wholesaler will have it and I believe www.newark.com or www.electrosonic.com carries the braided stuff. (Ill see if I can track it down for you)
