trust me the 79 has seen lots of track time.. I had oil issues this year and it didnt see any but problem solved so it will be back on the track this spring sporting its new look ...

Well after I finally blew the motor after 7 years of running the **** out of it, there was a time in my life that $$ was tight and I had no shop to work in so it sat outside for a whole year throught the winter and the paint was faded and had some scratches/dings from years of abuse, then the motor came out and well I decided to rebuild the whole truck did a frame off .. had to make some changes shaved the cab cowl, drip edges, door locks, stake pockets, fuel door.. changed the hood and put a hard cover on for a new look


heres the link to the rebuild was totally dismantled and blasted every nut and bolt replaced

ya Russ and his 40's... he will never live that down, way to many molsons and water baloons that day

 

The only thing to keep in mind is that your drag truck prob has wider axles than the CJ. I would just go measure the width from the outer edges of your tires and then check that against the trailer.
