Default IT IS NOT A TRUCK!!!

I don't know if anyone else out there has the same problem with this that I do, but here it is. I absolutely despise people that talk about their SUV (Jeep, Tahoe, explorer, etc.) and call it a truck. That is not a truck. If it doesn't have a bed, with or without a working tailgate, IT IS NOT A TRUCK! If it can't get wet when rains, it's not a bed either. After market Tops don’t apply.

I know there are vehicles out there that you can take the factory top off and get the back of the vehicle wet, but that isn't a truck either. I have a "76 bronco that you could potentially put a half cab on, but that is a BRONCO not a truck. My wife runs around in an exploder (explorer) so I am not against SUV's, but even my kids know enough to say that's Mommy's car and not Daddy's truck.

Sorry in advance if I hurt any of those SUV owners feelings, but come on people. If you don't like to use SUV then call it a Tahoe or Bronco or even My Rig, But please don't use the work TRUCK unless it actually is. If you Want A Truck That Bad, Then Go Get A Truck.

Wow,
Just my $0.02

I think if it has a full frame, 4x4, and can tow 5000 lbs or more I would consider it more a truck than a car. I guess it depends on your definition of a truck. As far as an Elcamino or a ranchero I would call them a car. jmo

I used to have a problem with it then i guess i stopped caring. IMO stuff set on truck chassis can be called trucks if people want to.

The best yet, and it angers me when people say it. and explorer sport trac is NOT A F'ing TRUCK. It is built on an SUV chassis, there fore its an SUV. not a truck.

And my favorite saying: If you can call it CUTE, Its NOT a truck. sorry about your luck.

Honda doesn't make a truck either. Trucks have frames, not a unibody!!

I'll call a full size SUV a truck, like Excursion, Bronco, Suburban, Tahoe, and full size Blazers, since most of them are built on a truck frame(or at least based off of one). I have my days though where I'll be like "that's not a car, its a van." or whatever it is so I see your point.
