I had the same problem with my PC, I bought new in late 2001 or early 2002 a SONY VIAO, I bought a new DELL 4 months ago. It's a lot faster. I think it's time for you to buy a N E W PC

 

try a registry booster

 

Run Scan Disc
Install and run Ccleaner

 

Download and install the first 10 programs you find when you do a Google search for "Free AntiVirus Software Download". That'll fix you right up!

delete temporary internet files, cookies, and history.

 

I find my computer runs slower than a starved clydesdale when it's updating protection software, which coincidently, happens to be what seems like ALL the F---ing time. It's gotten so bad that I manually set a time for it to update at a time when I know I'm not going to be on the computer, and then I always restart it afterwards. This has helped out tremendously... But when it's updating, MAN does it run slow! I'm also an insane multi-tasker which doesn't help.

 

My computer at work and also my laptop at home have both been running waaayyy sloooow as well its really gettin to me I have tried a few different things like deleting the temp internet files cookies ect. still just as slow as ever.

 

That's what I'm talkin about !!

I mean, my computer is so slow, if it was a car it would not be fast enough to get out of it's own way...
