That confirms it--I always heard that there is often gender-role reversal in the animal kingdom..

 

Here's the little girl we found in our garden a couple of years ago... Yes, she is as big as she looks. Almost 5" across! She liked grasshoppers. We were feeding her for a while.

 

I think they call them a writing spider not for sure though so don't hold me to that. We have a lot of them around here. I like them and I don't care for spiders much.

 

Thats a Yellow garden spider we have them all over our ranch. I loved feeling them grasshoppers as kid.
