excessive blowby?

I have a little blowby and when I switched to amsoil it was worse I think the amsoil foggs way more than rotella ...the jury is out on amsoil right now I may switch back to rotella and change every 4,000 period its cheaper leaving amsoil in to 10,000 scares me

No, restore is "CSL micro-particle with Lead (40%) dispersed uniformly throughout a Copper (60%) matrix with Silver."

Sludge on the oil cap is moisture. It means the engine isn't being allowed to get completely hot and boil away the accumulated water in the oil.

Well generally oily buildup on the oil cap is sledge; which is a VERY bad thing. But what I was reffering to was blowby that comes out of the oil filler tube.

The amsoil synthetic stuff is SOLID oil. Can you say 30,000 mile oil change interval? Hellz yes.

That last part I didn't know (about boiling away moisture); but the components in Restore form a hardened seal that renews the cylinders.

EXACTLY the kind of crap I don't want anywhere near my engine! If it does that in such a turbulent area as the cylinders, understand what its doing to the rest of the engine. Especially in hot, low flow areas like oil galleries, piston cooling ducts, the oil filter and the oil cooler.

Thats a good point. Couldn't tell you about all that. But I do know that it stops a LOT of blowby and oil consumption. I haven't had a car thats needed it in years though.

90w gear oil will stop oil consumption,knocks, blow by, and anything else wrong just like the stuff your talking about does. It also stops the engine all together after a while.

Well.. kinda sorta. Gear oil just makes the oil thicker therefore making it more difficult to pass thru the rings/valve stems etc. Restore actually contains chemicals to fill in imperfections in the mettalurgical based surfaces.

I thought there was some stuff out called "Add A Piston" to slow down or stop blow by.I'm not sure..

yeah, just about every chrysler has it. mines the best cap ive ever seen.

this woman came in the other day with less than a quart of oil in the car and last time she came in was over 2 years ago.

later on in the day, a gentleman came in and had gone over 20k in his convential oil.
some people.....
