Doc, I'd say 2900 is a good deal for that bike. Suzuki builds good stuff.

Not to knock any Polaris or Suzi but we have 2 JD gators (4x6) units with the dumpers at the farm and they work well - when they work that is.

The old one is a pile that needs help.

My father has a 99 magnum 500. He is the toughest person any anything that I have ever seen. I always tell him general mantince goes a long way he never cares. Anyway back to the Polaris. In its 7-8 years of life the oil has been changed 4-5 times tops. The hour meter quit working in 02 or 03 with a little over 1000 hours something like 1043. His workers use it to pull a trailer and pick up trash on the side of the interstate before he cuts it with the tractor. Aside from the belt change every six months or so its been nothing but a champ. The only reason for the belt is because all it does is pull a trailer or a tarp full of leaves in the fall off of the varies properties he keeps up. So after 4 sets of tires one new rim around ten belts. And who knows how many hours of use. Its still going strong. Im not a big fan of Polaris myself. I own a Honda. but I Hold Polaris pretty high on my list of best ATVs. You guys may disagree but I like the thing. Oh i also think Polaris atvs start better when its cold than anything else. And as for the Ranger if its the 6X6 it will climb anything but still has problems with belts.

Chris

I ride with a friend, that has a 2005 SUZUKI EIGER 400 4X4, and he beats the CRAP out of it, and it keeps on going!!!! TALK about abusing the ATV, The SUZUKI is an excellent ATV.
