Default have you ever....

bought something that was misrepresented? like if a sign was different than you are use to? i was going to put this in the alternative fuels but i didn't think it fit. here goes my story..... tell yours on anything if it is somewhat similar.......

back almost 2 years ago i had to make a trip to Alabama for work and since i was traveling alone and didn't have a company vehicle at the time i took my Dodge. i got in the middle of nowhere and it was raining, foggy, and cold and my fuel light came on. i see as i top a hill a fuel station a ways down the road and i remember from traveling that stretch of road before that it had Diesel. i pull in and look out and see some older pumps.... the clear plexi over the digits were all cloudy and you could barely read the prices. one was offroad and one was on road fuel....... so in the hurry i was in i looked at the 2 pumps from my truck and see that one had a blue and white label and one had a red and white label. i pull up to the one with the blue and white label and get out in the freezing cold and begin to pump. the labels on these pumps were old and peeling up. they were torn and all cracked looking. as i'm topping off my tank i realize that the blue labeled pump had RED dyed fuel and appon closer examination the blue label said something about offroad and the red said taxed onroad fuel. i said F*CK IT and topped it off and went inside to pay. what was i to do? i couldn't empty my tank.... so when i get inside the woman wanted to make a big deal out of it and in a louder than normal voice said "did ya get offroad in that truck?" and i replied " no mam' i pumped fuel from the blue pump because the red pump is for offroad" she then smarted back in a real sarcastid, demeaning, redneck voice " well if you'd have read that sign you'd of known that that pump was fer offroad..." this too in a louder than normal voice..... and for some odd reason i was thinking on my feet that day and i kind of dipped my head and leaned forward and in a low voice i said "mam' i can't read" i knew she wasn't listening and she said "huh?" i spoke louder so everyone around me who had seen this transpire could hear me.... i said "mam' i can't read" you should have seen how her face and demeaner changed quick like. she then calmed down and said "it's ok baby we'll get this straight." so i had to sign a log book for the offroad and i signed it with a big ole' X and the same on my credit card reciept..... i normally don't do stuff like that but she was a real B!tch and was so concieted.

here are some pics i took of the pumps later on that year with my camera phone. what would ya'll have done?
