You don't *change* a light bulb....

You *replace* a light bulb...

*change* involves physical properties, re-engineering, and all kinds of other stuff...

*replacing* is what you do with a bad one....

I should know...my neighbor's brother's ex-wife's sister's boyfriend's high school football buddy's neighbor's boss used to be an engineer for GE and he told me so that means I'm right and all ya'll idiots are wrong.

In my house I have *changed* light bulbs...taken CFLs out of one lamp and *changed* it for a standard bulb, then put the CFL into the second lamp...

Didnt get clarification from GE, just making a supposition....

Hey, what about the bulbs that I *changed* to CFLS....I saved the standard bulbs as they werent burnt out, so in essence I have *changed* vs. *replaced* these as well....

Oh what a mess....bout time for the industry expert to appear....

But, you still replaced--you didn't change the bulb. You changed to another style of bulb....but you didn't change the bulb.

My brother can change bulbs but he's an uber-cool magician, and a millionaire--have I mentioned that my brother is a millionaire before?
