Information MADE IN THE U.S.A!

Seems like it's always real easy to say "I'm never buying 'xyz' from 'abc' store again because it's made in china!". I was at Tractor Supply this evening to pick up some rubber boots and noticed that one pair had printing on the side and molding on the bottom saying "Made in the U.S.A.", being that they were the nicer of the two styles offered and they're made here, I picked those ones.

In light of that, post up some useful everyday stuff you know of that's made here in the ole U.S. of A.

(*remember this isn't the badlands, I don't want to know details of how you or your children were made)

This is harder that it appears on the surface.

There are a lot of quality products "Made in the U.S.A." but the material content is questionable.

What countries are the sources?

Incorrect....many Danner products are made offshore...check the tags on their Strikers or the Terra Force styles.......

This is a very hard thing to come up with this day & age. The product labels should say "Final Assembly in USA"

Like a lot of people will say Polaris ATVs, snowmobiles, and such....incorrect.

Polaris has used Subaru engines, made in Japan, since day 1 pretty much...not to mention where do all the electrical components come from.

Altec Industries is close, as they build their own circuit boards and computer modules, but they use a lot of offshore hydraulic and electrical components from Europe.

Exactly, US doesn't "produce" any rubber. Anyway, my Surefire flashlight.

Red Kap makes a lot of their product line in other countries. Buying one U.S. made product on principle supports the entire operation, offshore included.

This 100% Made In USA thing is harder than it looks to be.

Where did the battery material come from?

Well I know my car trailer was made in Georgia, but who know where the steel, wood, and lights came from?
