Default Scam? I am thinking so....

So I see a 2006 Crew cab short bed Duramax on Craigslist in Orlando for 7900 bucks with 52K on the clock, so I'm thinking wow, someone needs to get out from under a payment bad and I was going to pay cash...This is what I get when I email the seller...I am going too see how far I can take this...

Hi, The truck is still for sale. My 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4x4 Crew Cab LT 6.6L V8 FI Diesel is in great shape,no engine problems, damages or hidden defects. Hasn't been involved in any accident. It was always garaged and never kept outside. I`m a single mother with 2 children because I divorced with my husband and after the divorce I owned this truck, I don`t need it and that`s why I`m selling it so cheap. The truck has a clear title, no liens. Transmission is Automatic and has 52,176 miles. The total price is $7,900 including shipping and handling. I recently was promoted and had to move to Bangor, Maine and from here the truck will be shipped. It is very important for me to know if you have all the money to buy it or you need to get a loan for it. We will use eBay protection program for our safety and for payment I prefer to use an eBay safety Bank account. You have 7 days to inspect the truck and I get the money after you make sure everything is ok and decide to keep it. If you don't like the truck and want to return it, I will arrange to ship it back (on my costs) and you will be 100% refunded by ebay. I'm sure you will love the truck and don't want to return it but it's good to know that you have this option available. I just need your full name and address so I can open a case. You must know that eBay will contact you without any obligatiaon to buy it or fees.

Have a nice day!
Jane

I say so she could get that in a minute at any car lot, but get the address and phone number and tell her you have a friend in town come by to check it out for you.

If she gives you that, I'll go see what the deal is for you.

I am willing to bet it is a scam. I have seen these before, and most likely if you search Craigslist, you will find this same ad posted in a dozen different towns...

The best way to do these are like what Whit said, offer to fly there and see it person with a certified check. Or tell them you have a brother, friend in the area to look at it. There are some people that just want to get rid of their stuff and if you ignore everything, you will lose out on a legitimately good deal at some point, you just have to keep your wits about you.
