Default Progresive Auto Insurance

Who here uses them?? Also want to know how big a shaft they run up your butt if you get into an accident, whether it's your fault or not.

Was running Farmers, but because my dad complained they were to expensive, he went to this POS company. $1100/year, compared to $2400/year with Farmers. I had a glass deductible with them, meaning if I needed a new windshield, I only had to pay $100, and they covered the rest. IDK, but I got a bad feeling with regressive, I mean Progressive.

I had Progressive when I got in a bad accident that was beyond a shadow of a doubt not my fault and the woman who caused the accident got a huge settlement, I got hardly anything...they shafted me with broken, splintered bat through the entire claims process. Unable to work 3 years, totaled truck and a few hundred thousand dollars of medical bills(that thankfully my health insurance covered) and they awarded me about $7k.

I have State Farm now, had a few minor comprehensive/theft damage claims and what not and they were good to me. I have two points now (1 point per moving violation, lasts 3 years for insurance purposes) and it's not horrible.

See, that's what I mean. I'm screwed, blued, and tattooed.

State Farm's definitely not the cheapest but I don't think it's a crazy amount; I don't mind paying a bit extra to have a local agent available. While looking for quotes on disability insurance I got a great quote at Zander insurance so I went to check their auto insurance but it redirected me to Progressive.

But as insurance companies do, Progressive has likely changed a lot in the last 7 years since my experience with them.

They are way cheaper than Farmers, but you know what they say: you get what you pay for.
