So Who Knows The Answer To This Question?
ok here is the problem. i have a very large boulder in my driveway that i want gone. i have a med size old backhoe but it can not move it. i have tried a 110v jackhammer , pounding it with a sledge hammer , driving a steel wedge into a crack , air chissel and nothing seems to work...then i was thinking about the rocks around my fire pit how they are all cracking from the heat of the bonfires...if i get a torpeido heater and heat the rock up super hot and they dump a cooler of ice water or hit it with a co2 fire ext. do yas thing it would break it?.....or do you have another way to break it?

yeah if that thing's even slightly porous and you heat it/cool it like that you're gonna have one hell of an explosion and in the need for 6 pall bearers. if it's that big and that heavy you got issue for sure. maybe use backhoe to dig a pit and then dig under the rock so it falls in the pit. cover it up and be done.

but you have to put the nose towards the rock so's the ramhead will fend off the debri.

heck my truck will be in the garage nice and safe....as for useing my truck to move it. well i dug 4 holes in my driveway. so i figures i would call my brother he has a m35a1 6x6 and well he dug 10 holes in my driveway....hmmm digging a hole and then push it into the hole maybe. only prob there is i have rock everywhere. i will prob hit another one a foot under the ground........but it may be worth a try....
