I guess you guys don't get how to cook a tri-tip. It's not a roast you slow cook and flake apart. It's more like a steak than roast. You cook the whole thing and thinly slice it and it's so tender. Full of flavor and good on sandwiches. Just have to do it right.

That is right its a steak cut and it is pretty good it just that its a "regional" type dish, cut, or whatever you want to call it just not as well know in other parts. Think the subject of just tri tips went to just beef in general and what everyone likes in their part of the region.


Beef its whats for dinner.

Isn't that just a Steak-Um

It sounds good but I have never seen it...I'll ask the butcher next time we take steers in and see if he has heard of it.

Steak-Ums must be a regional thing too.....they are cheap slivers of processed steak that you fry up for steak and cheese sandwiches.
