I'm tryin to find motor brushes to get my table saw up and runnin again and I was just fumblin with one while I was walkin through the store the other day when I noticed that this thing has no magnetic field at all anymore. I mean nothin, not to metal or even other magnets. Have I just never noticed this before on other motors or is this a problem with brushes losing their magnetic capabilities and would this cause a motor to not work.

Just wonderin cause these things really don't look worn at all but the rest of the motor all checks out ok so it's gotta be these brushes.

 

When you got to kick the motor in, does it even try??
