i use a troy bilt, 4 cylce. it seems to be pretty good. it gets done everything that i need it to, and then some. i like not mixing fuel and it fires up everytime with minimal effert. only gripe with it, it took a while to get it to run right. when i got it, the plug was wrong, fixed that, then took a while to get the idel right on it. i have had it about a year and a half, and runs better now then ever. it also has multiple attachments, not sure how many but i never used any. also the line is very, very, very easy to rewind. i think i picked it up at lowes or home depot for a resonable price. i am not sure what you are lookin to do, but it works great for around the house and for our multiple probertys we own.

right now ive got a riobi and its a good weedeater but i hate the curved shaft....i like the stihl better for heavy stuff....the best advice i can give you is buy one with the biggest motor you can afford.....ive had several that were under powered....but then again not everybody runs about 20-22 inches of .090 line all the time

ECHO!!!!! Back in the day when I mowed grave yards, we had a couple different brands in the begining to figure out which one could last and Echo came out on top! I loved my 280-T that thing could cut a tree down and it was at full throttle for an hour or better at a time with the gaurd cout down so I could trim a 18" or better path Didn't have to push mow around the heads too then. Easy to reload string too and save your back and time, get a straight shaft.
