safe mode + reinstall all your drivers. BSOD is usually driver issue.

 

didnt have any disks to work with , just the restore to factory disks i made , i didnt want to resort to that , if i knew it was going to take this long i would of just restored it and reinstalled the 500 programs

 

oh that sucks. usually you can get drivers from the manufacturers website, although i don't think I've actually worked with any HPs besides printers since the Compaq merger.
if you can download them, stick them on a disk or flash drive and uninstall all drivers reboot and reinstall in safe mode.

anyway, thats what i'd try.

 

well after like 4 days i go to get my lap top back they say its ready i open it up and its on the same damn messed up screen as it was when i took it there , what asshats !!!, so its up to me what a waste of $$$ the "black tie" warentee was ..

So im doing the full on restore , i grab my 160GB external HD and plug it in and let it do its thing , and it says my external HD is not NTFS formatted WTF , so i hit google and found out how to reformat the external HD to NFTS and it says all the files will be deleted , So now im backing up all the xternal HD files on my desk top 2 hours to go then i have to reformat the HD to NFTS and plug it into the laptop and hope the hell it works , then i have to resotre the laptop back to orginal and try to find all my license numbers and ect to get it back like i want it

what a pain in the ***

 

Next time just blow it up and write off what you had.

 

this desk top came from best buy as well , im going to go ahead and say it , My next computers will be Dell like the old one upstairs i have all the disks for it and have had to reinstalled the operating system about 5 times or do repair installations .

when you buy it from them you get all the cd's , best buy gives you trial versions of word and ect and you have to buy them thats how they can under cut dell .

i have a dell a gateway (this one) and a HP laptop, my next purchase is going to be a dell lap top and ill be sure to get every damn disk i can with it .

the dell upstairs is older than hell cnt even hardly use it like 512 ram 1.2 intel celeron both my gate way and HP have dual processers 1 has intel and the other AMD
