I spent a few days up to the cabin, about 2 foot of snow fell one night and it was a job for the 6x6 to get back out to my pickup, was dozing snow drifts half way up the windshield at times but the ol girl did well

my new wireless connection on the laptop proved worthless up there so I need to make some kinna antenna I guess

Something like this may work for getting receiption. They have a gain up from 9 up to 12db.
Just make sure you can bring it back if it doesn't work. Those antennas aren't cheap.

That's a Yagi, or Yagi-Uda.

I can get them by the truck load over here.

Cool, info!
Can you imagine that that genius freak and his japanese bro Uda has invented that antenna in 1928??.
May the force be with them...

WOW that was a hell of a weekend, made it in just fine with only a couple feet of snow left from the winter, but saturday night I had strong winds and snow so Sunday morning I had drifts in places that were taller than the hood of my truck, I made it most all the way out but sure enough at the top of on of the hills a 4 maybe 5 foot drift had formed prolly a hundred yards long, I had great momentum but not near enough so I ended up in the middle of the drift and had to climb out the window and walk to my neighbors house so he could come rescue with the backhoe, it took him 2 hours to clear me a path, he was amazed that I got where I did, he was laughing his *** off
