Well he survived the whole fight but lost by a 30-27 decision. But like Bubba said changing the rules to make it fair for one person is not correct.

Just found out the guy he fought was from Madison, WI Bryan Fry

 

What MMA rules did they change for him?

 

Nothing really, they just accomodated one for him. The rule you can't kick a downed fighter. So they considered him downed all the time. But he couldn't hit the other fighter with his arms since they couldn't get the gloves to stay on them. I have nothing against what he wants to do. But like I said I don't see any good coming from it. Like the crowd booing the winner saying he didn't fight fair because he stayed standing.

It sounds like if Maynard can take somebody his weight down, than Maynard can beat the crap out of him. But as long as the dude with legs and arms can stay up, Maynard is pretty hopeless.

So he's pretty much like any other Jiu Jitsu fighter.
