But you are not going to believe the rest of the story.
We went to Fargo, and I wash all the crap off the truck and of course all shiney arrest me red and are headed through downtown. All of a sudden a cop pulls out of a side street and I swerve into the next lane so I don't hit him. While I'm going by him, all the lights turn on and he pulls in behind me. The wife and kid are saying what did you do. I pull over and the first thing he does is compliment the truck over and over. Then while I'm getting the license and registration asks me if I know what the speed limit is. I told him that I thought it was 40 or 45. (It changes numerous times in a 4 block area) Apparently there was an umarked that I never saw that clocked me at 48 in a 45 and he called to the one that busted me. The one that busted me said I was doing 48 also and was caught with Prolaser 3, but by then I was in the 35 zone. Don't know what the hell that really is, but I was caught. The cop went to his car and I knew my rear wasn't going to be the same. I haven't gotten a ticket in 9 years either. He comes back to the truck and explains the ticket and tells me the fine is $13.00 for 48 in a 35. I love ND compared to the south.

$13 dollars, thats $140 here for doing 47 in a 35 last time i had to pay that

Sucks that they gave you the ticket, but it is nice that is was only $13.

Who cares about the fine when you end up paying ten times it in insurance costs, or in lawyer fees getting the point removed from your CDL or for the sake of your dealership job.

 

It's only 1 point and the cop said that it will come off in 3 months, so no big deal.

 

Hell yea, take the $13 in and a dozen donuts for "bothering" the cop with all the paperwork.
