I pushed tools for Nabors Drilling, and H&P and CDX.. its an easy gig overall, great job. plus having a schedule is a wonderful thing. Doing directional Drilling, I only get guaranteed days off if I ask for a VACATION.. we get 4 weeks a year if we have time.. its all relative to how busy the oilfield industry is.. 2008 we only got to use 18 days of vacation..


We work when there is a well to be drilled.. no matter where, no matter when. Kinda sucks not having a schedule, but man it pays too good to turn down. Plus I have been fortunate enough to be close to home on all my jobs this year (within 12 hours) so the wife and kiddos come out to see me every month or so

 

just dont let yer kids grow up behind yer back ..................in no time at all they will be graduating

 

Yea, I figure its going to happen.. Just bought the youngest and middle boys new 4wheelers for CHristmas.. an 80 and a 125.. Seems like last year they were riding a big wheel..
