No sewage plants aroung here... These came from the good old Chesapeake Bay. I used to work in a oyster house and we gre them from seeds (look like sand) I would eat them as they came off the bottom... mmmm

I live right near 4 tributaries that drain into the chesapeek and I can tell you that all of the municipal sewage treatment plants in my area drain into these tributaries.

now granted its treated water not poop water. but when you have a lot of rain real quick every yown and city on thcost drain sewers and sewage into the ocean.

so theres poop in the water

I was wondering how long it would take someone to notice

Those are for the dog... She is in heat. Steph has a diper type thing that goes on her to keep everything clean, If you know what I mean. The stayFree's are the EXACT thing the company sells to put in it at half the cost.

Why would you do that? I've been eating bay shellfish my whole life and look at me..... oooohhhhhhh... now I see.

There is nothing wrong with raw shellfish as long as tehy came from a good source. And VMRC is HELL on all the fisherman around here. When I used to work at the oyster house in High School we would take polluted oysters from the James River and transplant them into the Ware River (were I grew up) to clean them. VMRC was on the boat from the time we picked them out the James to the time we dropped them in cages into the Ware. He would put little locks on them and we had to fill out a crap load of paperwork. After a certian time had passed and they had cleaned themselves he had to go back out with us to pick them up and unlock them.... then more paperwork.

As I said I have been eating raw shellfish my whole life and never gotten sick from it.... I've made a lot of other people sick including Steph but never me.

You should really try it. If you can get past the texture and looks of them they are REALLY good!

I have tried just about every kind of seafood on the east coast and some west coast stuff as well.
My family owned a Seafood shop as well as owned and operated some commercial fishing boats. I never got used to the texture or the taste of raw shellfish.
