You can do it Aaron, but ya its hard. For years after I quit I still got urges most when I was hunting, drinking, or doing something that I was always chewing during. I still chew on long drives and man the first dip is a dozy every time and I just about fall back in love every time.

Dipping that is. Sorry guys no such luck in getting rid of me.
I told my wife about 6 years ago that I would quit dipping Copenhagen on the spot the day either of my daughters asked me too. Tonight when were getting ready for supper my youngest informed me she needed to have a talk with me. I was like great she wants me to stop drinking beer.
She starts off by telling me about how snuff was a drug and that it was killing me more and more every day. It was then I knew where this conversation was going. I look at my wife and she gave me a wink.
"I want you to quit dipping snuff so you can live longer, I do not want you to die before you meet my children "(she is 13). So I tell her "ok" I leaned over the sink and with my tounge I toss it into the drain. "When are you you going to quit"? "I just did" I replied.
I have been dipping one can a day for 18 years, I just went to the dentist and he said my gums look great. But I have to quit this, it is going to be hard but I made a promise to my wife that if they asked I would do it. In return I told her that she would not complain about me doing it in the meantime.
So Copenhagen "it has been great, I have enjoyed our time together but I must live to see my daughters kids". All of this is a result of a 7th grade teacher trying to scare kids. I bought 5 cans of Cope today, all of it got poured in the sink tonight after supper.

I can say for the first year, everytime I went into a 7-11, the first thing I would look at was the Copenhagen display and it took everybone in my body not to buy a can. Now, everytime I smell somone open a can up I almost puke it smells so bad.
