Did Tara and her family make it home safely last night??
Party's over, it's hell time now. Lost power off and on since 5ish, now it's been out since about midnight, for good. Haven't fired off the gen yet, I'll wait till morning, just running off my little jump box that has a power inverter. Been watching tv and inter-web since midnight or so. Winds are probably a constant 50mph with gusts to 100 it feels like. The trees are taking a beating, hopefully they'll hold out. Not much rain, not worried about that, just the wind.

Tara and family caught an earlier flight yesterday, so she was home around 5ish yest evening. Now we are just hunkerd down riding it out. I'll call you in the morning, when there's light. Kind of worriied about the truck/work. The wind is pounding the same direction of my doors, hopefully they won't blow in, that would suck ***.

Stay safe....

Y'all still holdin out down there? From what I can see on the radars, the storm is headed right between Tyler and Longview. My shop is between them in Kilgore, and I'm in northeast Longview. Looks like it's going to get interesting here around lunchtime.
Stay safe. I'll check in later this afternoon.

I jut called and woke Danny up from his slumber.. He says he still has power in Katy, and is not flooded or in any real danger.

I hope everyone in that area stays safe..

Well I made it, I am ready to get off this ride, we lost electricity about 0300 and it just came back on at 1030. The wind is still blowing like crazy and the rain is still pouring. I can see alot of fences blown down and alot of roofs with alot of missing shingles. I havent ventured out yet its still to windy and to much rain. They are saying about 3 million people are without power and it could take up to a month to get the lines repaired.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

Checking in, we are good. I have to agree, I'm ready to get off this ride. Still getting wind and rain, had 40+mph winds constantly since midnight, the gusts felt like the house was going to blow over. Not a fun night. Power went out at midnight, running on generator right now.

I'll try to get some picture up later, I'm ready for a nap.
