Now it's becoming a contest. How long can my generator stay running without being shut off. So far it's 10 days and 4 1/2 hours.

Yamaha EF3000iSEB backfeeding my house running 2 'fridges, 1 deep freezer, garage, kitchen (including microwave) living room, master bedroom and various plugs and outlets, + powering my neighbor's 'fridge, fan and tv. Purrs like a kitten useing 6 gallons of gas a day.

We got power after 51/2 days and we lost water for 2-3 days. 3 houses down form us and most of our subdivision had power 2 days before us... A little water in the windows, the drier vent, and a brace broke off our solar screens, so we got off real lucky. Some of our neighbors lost a lot of shingles and had a bit of water damage. I got to say was a little nervous when several of my neighbors started boarding up on Thursday and Friday. Then we got the booze out and my worries went away. At 11 pm Friday I was out tieing down our small oak trees and bracing our garage door wit 2x4s. During the storm the door was still flexing in 3-4" so I jammed a 4x4 between it and my truck. Got some pics too Redneck wind sailing and sunset before the storm and some damage down the road in our old neighborhood.

Hey dozerboy, did you get my texts during the storm? I was drunk for two days! We had a helluva hurricane party in my 'hood!
