Default Looking At A Few Tools - Any Suggestions

Hey,

I'm looking at getting a floor standing drill press - 5/8" chuck, belt drive or at least VSD. What do people like? I'm leaning toward General, Craftsman and Delta.

Also, looking at a router kit. There are so many options and stuff it is tough to get around that one as well. Again, Porter Cable, Milwaakee, Hitachi, Makita are generally what I'm thinking.

Comments?

Porter Cable, Delta, DeWalt, Hitachi are all Black & Decker products; which I'm not fond of. I like Milwaukee, Bosch, Makita. Don't know if there's Home depot in CA, but I've had good luck w/ their Ridgid brand cordless tools. Sears is ok, if you're just a home user, I wouldn't try to make a living w/ their power tools. My 2 cents.

Milwaukee or Bosch.....end of discussion.

Drill press......ya know actually the big Central Machinery (Harbor Freight) press isn't too bad. JET is decent. I bought JET used at an equipment auction---retailed for $3,700 I picked it up for $900.
