Default A Few AG Aircraft Videos

here's one of our customers landing his Bell 47 aerial applicator with an Allison turbine. The Air Tractor 502A plane is a 500 gallon payload applicator with an 1,150 hp PT6A-45 and 5 blade prop...it's the hot rod version of the 502's which normally have a 750 hp -34 and 3 blade prop!

the following are a few of what I was able to get on my camera phone before I started getting sick from trying to watch the screen. they're from an AT-802 2-seat, just like the firebomber version(actually, the airplane that's my avatar). this one has a PT6A-67 1,250hp monster...the fuel tanks alone are just shy of 300 gallons!!

we're moving along at about 165mph when you see the telephone poles 'passing by'...no spraying, this was just a test flight.

the blades were about 6-8 feet from the shop and a bit closer to the helicopter on the other side...these ag pilots are crazy but they're good. they hardly ever ball one up from hitting something. I think the most common pilot error wreck is running out of fuel so on the expensive airplanes, low fuel warning lights are one of the first mods we do!!
