Any Reloaders Here?

I was mistaken it's not a smooth bore. Had to go look it up after you said that.
Heres the one I have.
"Smokeless" are no fun to shoot really, drop your little powder pellets/discs in and off ya go. We always hunted in pairs and sat about 30' apart. That way one could shoot and the other could tell if ya hit anything or not. The rifles aren't near as bad about that tho as shotguns are.

Ahh, OK. I have Thompson Center hawkins as well as a couple of CVA's. They all shoot nice, the more expensive ones just have a little better triggers on them usually.
BTW, by Smokeless I'm referring to cartridge rifles and handguns (like in my pictures)
My absolute favorite hunting is with my T/C 50 cal hawkin and straight FFg black powder with spit patched round *****, that's some good stuff right there
Keep your powder dry,

Used to do alot of reloading when I lived in SD and ID, not much call for what I shoot here in ILL other than maybe 9mm, 40 and or 45 for some pistol Comps then maybe some shotgun.
I would however like to see if I can reload some 12 gauge slugs but finding the individual parts that I am interested in is proving to be a challange......
Mainly the slug itself

are you wanting Sabot slugs or a llead slug? Lee makes a mold for a lead slug that you actually load using a standard shotcup and the results are pretty dang good. Accuracy is very reasonable, price cheap and it comes with load data as well. If you're interested I can provide you with a little more information after I get off work.

Yeah I have seen that one from Lee, didn't look to me like it would work to well in a rifled barrel, with that single band on it, double maybe, I was eyein those Barns expanders if I could find those I would be a happy camper to say the least!!! Makes a Moss shoot some VERY nice groups as well as doing a number on the game, very few if any follow ups needed!

I'll ask a couple of guys I know who use the Lee and see what results they have and with what gun. I'm pretty sure I know one guy said he's getting 1.5MOA with his rifled barrel slug gun and the Lee slugs.
If you're wanting to buy pre-made bullets though I don't know where to send you, sorry. I do know there are several different molds out there, the Lee is just the cheapest and most popular.

I load and shoot around 10,000 rounds a year. I load for around 25 different cartridges ranging from the 25ACP up to the 45-120. I'm also a moderator on www.handloads.com so check it out sometime, great forum.
