Went and got me a Golden Retriever. She's 8 weeks old tomorrow and the was the shyest I ever known.

Golden retrievers are good dogs, I've got a male 8 months old and a female 1 year old. The female is alot shyer than the male. Very good around the kids. Congrats

 

Good dogs, yes. Good pets, not always. GR's ususlly have alot of energy and don't like to be penned up. Take good care of her.

 

I see a lot of a owners stick there pets in a small pen or keep em tied up 24/7. The way I see it is if you train them right, you don't need to tie em up or stick them in a cell. She will enjoy being able to run around, well to a certain extent!
